It's a sick bands if your a Fans of Crossed out/ Weekend Nachos. I talk to Ruben bout the band and his solo pv project well enjoy here is the interview Of Hateoffering and Stressclot!

Q: State your name and what bands do you play in??

A: My name is Ruben Perez and I play in the bands HATEOFFERING and Stressclot.

Q: How are you doing??? How did you get into punk??

A: I am doing great today actually since dumb ass Trump is out of office haha! I got into punk rock when I was younger, around the age of seven or eight (years old). My cousin would show me music, I started off at listening to bands such as Bad Brains, The Clash, Dead Kennedys, Crass, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Ramones, Misfits, Buzzcocks, Discharge and it just branches off from there. Growing up, I would also go to many backyard punk/hardcore shows in my neighborhood— out in the LA County area.
Q: How did Stressclot and Hateoffering start??

A: Stressclot started off as an idea and just being in my studio writing bass riffs. One drunken night I discussed the idea of writing some music with Oscar and we decided to start this project up. Called up a friend to help do drums and I was going to do Bass and Oscar on Guitar. A few weeks later after several line up changes, I found myself playing drums- this was the first time learning how to play drums within this genre of music. So I ended up doing the vocals, Bass, Drums for recording and Oscar did Guitar for the Midnight Munchies E.P.
HATEOFFERING started during the ending of the recording that I had with Stressclot’s E.P. Midnight Munchies. This was a project that I decided to do on my own because I was going through a lot of anger, drug use, and depression during the making of the DREAD E.P. So I guess I was trying to make something a bit more heavier and darker (sounding). It started off with writing bass riffs in my studio once I heard it on rough draft recordings, I was in a creative flow where I was able to lay down drums, bass and vocals. I am really proud of HATEOFFERING because it’s the first time I actually had complete creative control with music. It’s a direct representation of myself as an artist.

Q: What is the line up of Stressclot??

A: Stressclot consist of Oscar Lara on guitar and myself on Bass, Drums, and Vocals. Had a couple of people tried out for vocals but things didn’t work out.

Q: Hateoffering is your solo pv project??

A: HATEOFFERING is my solo project that I write, play and record myself. DIY for life!!!

Q: How long has Stressclot been a band??

A: Stressclot has been around for 2 agonizing years of noise
Q: How did your bands get the Stressclot and your solo project Hateoffering??

A: Both projects were on a list of names I wrote down on a paper while being drunk and stoned in my garage.

Q: What are the influences in your bands??

A: Influences most likely would be Horror movies, mafia movies, a lot of listening to bands such as Charles Bronson, World Peace, Crossed Out, Krieg, Mind Eraser, Impalers, Vile Gash, Wound Man, Ledge, Weekend Nacho’s, WVRM, Irae, Bloody Phoenix, Crutch..... The list can keep going haha!!!

Q: Does your bands have any releases coming out??

A: HATEOFFERING just came out with SUFFER E.P. on Halloween this year and in the process of writing for a 4 way split in the works but that will be announced very soon. I am currently writing and working on new material for HATEOFFERING.
Stressclot right now is on a break but most likely might not come back together because of musical differences.

Q: Any shoutout you want to give??

A: Shoutout to the homie Chino in the band Countime, the homies from the band The Dares, the homie Ricky that host the odd fellas podcast, TonexViolence for this interview and to all the haters in the world.... Thank you!
