Loathing #8

This is a another dude that's a good Homie From Boyle Heights where if from Union 13... He is one of the Bassist from a known band Loathing and good people...
What's your name and what bands were you in??? how did Loathing start as a band? What was the line up when you guys started and what was the line when you finished as a band?? That would have been sick if we played the same show as you guys....So through a mutual friend of Eman  and I (frank soto) we met and he invited me to come play bass in his band ARRASTRADA. I never played bass so I was like fuck it let’s do this. Things happened and things didn’t go as smooth.
Like a year and some months we jammed out with some dude but nothing came of it. Fast forward months later and eman has found some dudes on the internet they were from the OC and they wanted to link up and jam out.  I was nervous as hell and I said fuck it. I borrowed a cheap ass bass and got in my 96 Honda Civic hoping shit doesn’t overheat on our way to Irvine haha. We met chad (guitarist) and Brandon (drums). Chad and I found a mutual connection in our love for maiden and that’s when we started jamming out and soon releasing our demo.

Demo line up
Eman vocals
Chad guitar
Brandon drums
Hugo bass

Savage and forge split line up
Eman
Chad
Hugo
And Ivan on drums

Last demo
Hugo on bass
Chad on guitars
Steven on vocals
And nick on drums

What was the coolest show you played with Loathing??? How did Loathing get a split with Savage???
The coolest show we played or actually my favorite show was in Santa Cruz. We crashed depraveds tour and so we are in Santa Cruz on a Sunday trynna play and get back home ASAP. So the show is in someone’s house really nice house with a nice garden. They moved the furniture and everyone packed in the living room and we played. Stupid hot in there but fuck we played and everyone got into it.

Eman and I went to see capitalist casualties and savage  ( RIP SHAW ) at Los globos on sunset  and Eman passed around the demos to like Chris dodge and mike from cap cas. I don’t remember what happened but  he dug us and gave a nobody band a great chance to work together. It was mainly Eman who talked to everyone. Shout out to eman
What would  you say was your 1st show??? How did you get into punk scene??  What band do you play in now???

This is actually funny because a couple of months ago my best friends and I saw that movie kid 90s and it reminded me of when I was young
I live in Boyle heights and grew up there and when I was like 11 I met some older kids who were into skateboarding. One of the older kids we used to call him pinky took me to a backyard show near my house and shit was scary haha weird drunk people with spiky hair and loud music but it excited me and I fell in love with punk. My first actual venue show was a global threat at the knitting factory. I would Say my 1st show was a backyard show seeing one of my favorite band which is Heavy Artillery there from Oxnard. The Cops Raided The show but I was able to see them a couple months after at the Skate Park that's by parents old house.
I remember you guys played a show in Oxnard.. How did you get on that show... what would You  say are the influences for Loathing or your personal Influences??? Our second singer Steven is originally from

Ventura county so he hooked it up with some friends who wanted to play. I didn’t know any of the bands or the people but those damn tacos outside the bar and meeting new people was so dope.

Influences for loathing it’s kind of hard to say because we all dig different bands.
We all just wanted to play fast
My personal influences are a lot of 80s hardcore like pre powerviolence and a lot of thrash and heavy metal. So to name drop  septic death, SOD, heresy, ripcord, kaaos, dark angel, vio-lence , Iron Maiden, cryptic slaughter and a lot of Wehrmacht lol...Is there anything new for you in the future or you want to give a shout out to anyone???
I am currently jamming out with the homie Ivan who was our second drummer but we don’t have a singer or name yet hopefully soon.

Shout out to Marco  my best friends frank and meztli Juan Gio  who are always the first to know when I’m doing something new.  To chad Ivan eman Brandon Steven and nick for all the good times with loathing. Thanks for your Time Hugo

Thank you man
